Partner Programs

Asset Builders CDC has partnered with a variety of organizations to further extend the services that we provide to those who wish to save for a home, education, or business while increasing their financial knowledge and budgeting abilities. Below you might find an organization that you are familiar with that could benefit you or someone you know.  Asset Builders is conducting an IDA program in collaboration with University Illinois Chicago and Thresholds. Thresholds is a local psychiatric rehabilitation agency that seeks to help clients pursue work, education, and housing goals. This partnership was established to assist people with psychiatric disabilities achieve their goals for economic independence.

Asset Builders works in conjunction with Employ America to offer an employer based IDA program to their clients. Employ America is a for-profit Community Development Entity (CDE) with two missions. The first is to provide not-for-profit and governmental organizations with a unique way to generate revenue from various wage-based tax credits. The second is to provide the low-income employees working at these organizations with a benefits package that can help them improve their financial position, maintain their physical health, and enhance their ability to be self-sufficient. The match rate for this IDA program is 6 to 1 while the match dollars may be used to purchase a home or pursue a post-secondary degree.

Asset Builders is proud to partner with Austin Child Care Providers Network to offer an IDA program for their clients. Ten IDA participants have used their match dollars within the last year to make improvements to their child care businesses. Their improvements range from something as basic as purchasing new equipment for the children all the way to something as complex as completing construction on business property. Asset Builders has conducted two successful IDA programs within Cabrini-Green. Currently there are participants from the second Cabrini-Green IDA program who are now in the process of receiving their matching funds to purchase an asset. For more information about any of these programs please contact Asset Builders CDC via e-mail info@assetbuilderscdc.org or phone (312)322-3000.
